The Unraus previously served as a Senior Pastor couple with several churches in both the United States and Canada. Shirley and Pete are both graduates of Briercrest Bible College, while Pete earned his Master's degree from Western Oregon State University. They have four grown children. All three sons are ordained ministers. The Unraus have 10 grandchildren and live in Abbotsford, BC. |
Pete and Shirley are the founders and directors of OASIS RETREATS, a ministry to weary, wounded and/or wavering pastors and missionary couples and singles, who need personal refreshment and renewal. They host several five-day small group retreats annually, providing a place of safety, hope and help through counsel, teaching, and understanding, equipping them to be able to continue in their ministry.
